A Few of My Favorite Locations
This is where the fun part begins! Your session location sets the vibe for your photos, and this page is here to help you explore your options. Scroll through and get inspired!
I am ALWAYS up for a new location, ESPECIALLY one that means something to you! My favorite place to be is the middle of nowhere taking photos of a family in their favorite pasture.
Indian Rock Park, Salina KS
One of my go-to locations, especially for sunset photos at the end of a senior session! Several different types of scenery here: tall grass, trails, open field and big sky, scenic overlook, AND the river and waterfall area. Note: the river/waterfall area is only accessibly by a VERY washed out, steep trail. In the summer months the grass is green, and in the fall and winter it is a very pretty neutral.
Oakdale Park, Salina KS
Very pretty manicured garden look mid -summer to early fall. In April, there are blooming Bradford Pear trees! This location is great for families with mobility issues as the grass is mowed and there are sidewalks.
Downtown, Salina KS
Starting a senior session in downtown Salina will give great variety and color to your finished gallery as we wait for the sun to go down and travel to our last destination.
Ottawa County State Lake
In the morning, on cloudy days, and when the sun is almost completely down we can get a water backdrop! This location is more of a woodsy look, and is a great spot for large family sessions. This location is friendly to mobility issues.
Downtown Minneapolis
Lots of great backgrounds for MHS seniors who want to stay close to home!
Rock City
Two different looks here - with the amazing rock formations, OR there is also a very pretty open tall grass trail area. Whether we can use this location depends on the wind and the sun as it's wide open.
Vail Flower Farm
This location is best in July and August, which can be very hot and humid. Best during the hour before sunset!
