Hello, I'm Heather!
Salina Kansas Wedding & Family Photographer, located in Ottawa County and proudly serving North Central Kansas and beyond.
I am a wife, mom of 3, business major, and former college athlete. Caribbean junkie. Currently in the stage of life where I seem to be constantly in a gym watching my kids play sports! Give me allllll the wide open spaces, family time, walks, and apple pie (but only my mama's).
I have ridden my bike 500 miles across the state of Iowa in one week...twice! Ask me why and I'll say it's because I love my dad. I have been to Italy, France, Cambodia, the Bahamas, and 19 states in the US of A. I love to see new places, preferably rural, but home will always be Kansas prairie hills.
I bought my first semi-pro camera in an attempt to take "good" pictures of my babies, and what had always been a hobby took off from there! I'm grateful for this talent I've been blessed with and am striving to use it to glorify the Lord and serve the people in front of my camera, giving them images they can treasure for the rest of their lives.
I am located 25 minutes north of Salina, KS.
My Approach to Photography
Timeless, light, and bright! The photos I take will stand the test of time. Making sure you are comfortable during your session is my number one priority, and I will undoubtedly be overly chatty leading the conversation at the beginning of the session to make sure that happens. I will be 100% in charge of posing and prompting you during the session for a mix of posed and candid photos. Let me worry about making you look good; you just need to show up! I am all ears if you have seen a picture somewhere else that you love, or have ideas about poses you'd like to try. Your session will be what you want it to be!
Meet Temri, My Second Shooter.
Temri (Temri Photography) and I have worked many weddings with each other! Sometimes she is my second shooter, and sometimes I am hers. We are a great team! The results of our work together are a VERY well documented day, with no detail left un-photographed, and two creative minds striving to capture everything in a beautiful way. She is hard-working, brings a high-energy vibe, and will show your groomsmen the right way to toss the groom up in the air thanks to her college cheer background!
